As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to operate modern survey equipment like drones, 3D laser scanners, global positioning systems (GPS) and total stations. Lamp Rynearson is looking for a Water/Wastewater Treatment Design Engineer to join our Water and Wastewater Groups in Kansas City, MO. Working with a team of engineers in KC and other offices, you would deliver quality projects and provide solutions for our clients’ water needs for drinking water and wastewater treatment.   Responsibilities • Responsible for managing and assisting with projects through planning, design, and construction phases • Mentor project engineers and advise project managers, maintain project schedules and budgets, and produce documents in accordance with project scopes and quality program procedures • Project types could include water and wastewater treatment facilities and related infrastructure projects • Work directly with clients on the projects and tasks that you are leading, developing long term client relationships • Develop relationships with local clients, support business development efforts, and help in the pursuit of new projects • Additional duties could include technical investigation and analysis of various detailed studies, coordinating with sub-contractors, and preparing reports relating water and wastewater treatment facilities and processes • Occasional field construction inspection duties may be required   Required Qualifications • BS in Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering or related discipline. Masters preferred • PE license required. Registered Professional Engineer with 8+ plus years of experience as a Project Engineer/Manager. Experience working with and/or for a municipality is required, arterial roadway and DOT experience a plus. Prepare engineering agreements and project cost estimates. Assist in the analysis of reports (i.e. drainage, traffic, geotechnical), maps, drawings, tests, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design projects. Ability to develop civil construction plans, with a strong understanding of grading, drainage and paving design for municipal and land development projects. Ability to develop stormwater and sanitary drainage studies. Perform design work in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Hydraflow software; experience with HEC-RAS, SWMM, and other appropriate drainage software is a plus. Ability to develop scope and fee for proposals and task orders. Proven track record of successfully managing projects, from both a strategic and functional/project level. Possess strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
